On Thursday September 4th you are invited to join us in the secondary school for our annual Back-to-School information evening as part of our Parent University Programme. The purpose of the evening is to give parents an insight into the academic and pastoral wellbeing programmes offered at RCHK.

In response to parent feedback additional time slots are now available allowing access to more information sessions. These will run from 15.30. Light refreshments will be provided in the PAC from 16.30 where parents can socialize with each other, and also enjoy the opportunity to see “The Other Hundred”, a visiting photography journalism exhibition. While some copies of the programme for the evening will be available we have noticed previously that parents often access the programme via their mobile device. We hope the new programme layout will allow you to easily access it in this way and minimize the need to make paper copies.

We have retained our ‘open-house’ session allowing you an opportunity to meet your children’s teachers in their classrooms. There will be a list of teacher classrooms displayed and student guides will be on hand to assist. We strongly advise that you speak with your child prior to the evening to establish who their teachers/advisors are. Please note that this is not a time for parent-teacher conferences. If you wish to speak in detail with a teacher about your child please arrange an appointment for another time.

As always, members of our ICT Red door team will be available in the Red Door Centre to assist parents with any technical or Gateway login issues. Technical support will be available in Cantonese and English.

The formal part of the evening will start at 17.35 pm in the PAC and will be an opportunity to hear more about recent developments and partnerships at the College as well as more information about our recent IB Diploma examination results and university placements. The evening will conclude with vacation field trip information sessions for those interested.

We very much look forward to meeting with you and welcoming you back to the College on September 4th.
