Observations:
We are particularly proud of the fact that 50% of our students were awarded the acclaimed Bilingual Diploma. This underscores the value RCHK places on language learning, and Chinese language learning in particular. The importance of communication, aside from being an intrinsic part of the IB philosophy, is well recognised at RCHK as being a vital aspect of our students' education in preparation for the competitive world of work and in acknowledgement of our location as part of China. We are also very proud that 40% of our students achieved an impressive, and highly competitive score of 35 points or more.

Observations:
The challenge of the IB Diploma is not necessarily in students success in their individual subjects but in their ability to also be successful with their TOK and EE. An impressive 90% of our students were able to access points from their performance in TOK and EE, and again, well above the world average. NB - It is important to realise that a score of 0 is also a recognised score which qualifies a student for the IB Diploma, as you need to achieve at least 0 to pass the IB Diploma.

A testament to our highly qualified and experienced IB Diploma teachers is that virtually all our subject areas are performing at or above the world averages. As with all experienced IB practitioners our faculty will digest these May 2010 results over the coming weeks and months to ensure we continue to provide the very best IB experience for our students.
