Dr. Harry Brown

Head of College
B.A., M.Sc., Ed.D

Dr. Brown joined Renaissance College in 2009. He brings to the community over 25 years of service to education in several capacities, including IB teacher, DP coordinator, principal and deputy superintendent. He was born and raised in New York City, but spent most of his career in Tampa Bay, Florida. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, hiking, running and swimming.


Ms. Carol Larkin

Head of Secondary
BA, MA (Ed. Man), H.Dip

Ms. Larkin joined Renaissance College in 2007. She has 16 years experience in international education. She was born and raised in Ireland, and atttended Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin. Before joining Renaissance College, Ms. Larkin was the Secondary Vice-Principal & IB Diploma Coordinator at the New International School of Thailand in Bangkok. She has also worked in schools in London and Bogota. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with family.


Mr. Nick Cotton

Vice-Principal, Secondary
B.Sc., P.G.C.E.

Mr. Cotton joined Renaissance College in 2008. He has been teaching for 15 years, specializing in Geography and Environmental Systems and Societies. He was born in the UK where he started his career before moving to Asia in 1998. In his spare time he enjoys anything outdoors, including running, biking, adventure racing and camping.


Mr. Grant Rogers

Vice-Principal, Secondary
B.Sc., Dip. Teach

Mr. Rogers joined Renaissance College in 2006. He was born in Christchurch, New Zealand and has taught in international schools for the past 15 years. Mr. Rogers has taught across primary, middle and secondary school in France, Monaco and Thailand. In his spare time he enjoys keeping active and travelling.

 


Mr. Geoffrey Wheeler

Vice-Principal, Secondary

Mr. Wheeler joined Renaissance College in 2011. Before joining Renaissance, he was the Head of Middle School at King George V School.

 

 


Mr. Jamie Schmitz

Head of Primary
B.Ed, MEd

Mr. Schmitz joined Renaissance College in 2011. He was born in Australia and has more than 16 years of teaching experience, of which he spent 12 years working with the IB programme in different cultural and school contexts around the world, including International School of Stuttgart in Germany, Vienna International School in Austria, International School of Milan in Italy and Westlake Academy in Texas, United States. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar and singing, running, and utilizing technology in general.


Ms. Jacqueline Harmer

Vice-Principal, Primary

Ms. Harmer joined Renaissance College in 2011. She was born in the United Kingdom and has taught in Spain, Mexico and the United States. Before joining Renaissance, she was the PYP Coordinator at Kennedy School, Hong Kong. Currently, Ms. Harmer is studying for her Masters in International Education with Bath University and she hopes to finish the course sometime in the next six years. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing and photography.


Mrs. Stephanie Howdle-Lang

Vice-Principal, Primary
BA (Hons), PGCE, MEd

Mrs. Howdle-Lang joined Renaissance College in 2011. She was born in the United Kingdom and has taught in schools in England and the United Arab Emirates. Mrs. Howdle-Lang has also worked with the Ministry of Education in UAE to support local teachers in government schools in offering a student-centred, English medium curriculum. In her spare time, she enjoys sailing.


Mr. Philip Drew

Business Manager
Dip. Ed., Grad. Dip (Ed Admin), B.A., M.Ed, Advanced Certificate of Business

Mr. Drew joined Renaissance College in 2007. He is originally from Perth, Australia, where he ran a successful real estate business for the Australian Wheat Board and managed the residential sales division at Colliers Jardine in Perth. Before entering the world of business, he taught in schools and tertiary institutions in Australia and was Head of Primary at Wesley College.

 


Ms. Ania Zielinska

Head of Learning Technologies
BSc (Hons), PGCE

Ms. Zielinska joined Renaissance College in 2010. She was born in Poland but spent most of her adult life in the UK and more recently worked at an international school in Thailand. She brings a mixture of classroom, academic and industry experience gained at Perkin Elmer, University of Bristol and The Royal College of Surgeons. Ms. Zielinska is passionate about education, animal welfare, peace, sustainability, performing arts and Liverpool Football Club. In her spare time, she loves active family travels involving mountains and water.
