About Your Library

At Renaissance College we are very lucky to have a large Resource Centre fitted out with the latest technologies, furniture and resources. We hope you use this wonderful facility to maximize your learning and enjoyment.

A recent report by the Australian School Library Association (ASLA) found that school libraries can have a positive impact on student achievement.

At Renaissance College we strive to make our Resource Centre a hub of knowledge management and literacy initiatives.

 

Mission Statement

We are dedicated to providing and promoting access to an extensive range of print and electronic resources, tools and technologies to:

  • Support the academic, artistic and recreational needs of the school community
  • Encourage our staff and students to become competent users of information and independent lifelong learners
  • Stimulate a love of reading, learning and inquiry

  •   access to the OPAC from any computer on or off site
  •   personal assistance selecting appropriate resources
  •   bulk loans to classrooms to support student reading

Monday to Thursday  8:15 am - 4:30pm

Primary Library

The Primary Library is located on the 2/F. It has a comprehensive collection of fiction, non-fiction, picture and reference books. The Primary Library features quiet reading areas, an iMac computer lab, WiFi internet access and work desks.

 

Secondary Library

The Secondary Library is located on the 3/F. It has a comprehensive collection of fiction, non-fiction and reference books, iMac computers, WiFi internet access, work desks, individual study carrels and tutorial rooms.
