Year Four
Welcome
In Year Four, we aim to empower minds, hearts and souls.
It is important that all members of the Year Four community learn in a safe, positive and secure environment. We encourage our students to embody the main principles of the IB Learner Profile: Caring, Thinker, Open-minded, Principled, Balanced, Knowledgable, Risk Taker and Reflective.
Year Four is a pivotal time for children, as they are required to demonstrate an increasing level of independence and responsibility. It is a time for students to develop their confidence and risk-taking skills, becoming more open-minded, balanced and independent inquirers.
Students in Year Four are required to read frequently and reflect, inquire and find connections in their reading. Students are encouraged to develop their reading repertoire by reading books, newspapers and magazines such as National Geographic.
Below you will find the Year Four Bulletin. The bulletin will be posted at the beginning of each unit of inquiry. It will provide core information about the unit of inquiry, upcoming events, important dates and celebrations of learning specific to Year Four.
Please let us know if you have any questions. We are looking forward to learning together with your children throughout the year.
