Born and raised in Canada, Hong Kong has been my home for just under 9 years. During my time in this vibrant city, I have worked with children from preschool to upper primary in several international schools. I have also had the opportunity to do two of my favourite things on a regular basis hiking and traveling. This is my second year at Phoenix International School. One key factor that attracted me to the school was the chance to work with the PYP; therefore, it has been a great pleasure to serve as PYP coordinator at Phoenix for the 2005-2006 school year. As we move to Renaissance College, I am looking forward to even more exciting learning opportunities - both for the students and for myself.

While I am originally from Havelock North in New Zealand, Asia has been my home since 2002. After teaching at United World College of South East Asia in Singapore for 5 years, my husband and I were excited about the opportunity to teach at a new and rapidly growing IB school, Renaissance College. Prior to my time in Asia, I have taught in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Andorra. I have a keen interest in travel and the outdoors and have thoroughly enjoyed taking school trips to Africa, Switzerland, Malaysia, Indonesia and New Zealand. I know I will enjoy teaching in this exciting and dynamic environment and I am looking forward to being part of such a wonderfully diverse community.

“Good day!” My name is Linda Bishop and I am an Australian. As a girl, I went to ten primary schools all over the world. Now as a teacher, I have enjoyed teaching in schools in different countries. I value education for global citizenship. My interests include reading, hiking, cycling, swimming and music. I love to travel and learn more about our wonderful world and its people!
