B

MYP Visual Arts Teacher
BA (Hons), PGCE

Born, bred and educated in Liverpool, I subsequently attended art colleges in Southport, Nottingham and Manchester and then taught in Peterborough. I then decided to work overseas and RCHK is now my eighth international school. Students' creativity still provides great pleasure and I am actively involved in MYP moderation and diploma examining. Spare time is minimal, usually spent clearing up after my young son, bemoaning my rapid hair loss and dreaming of scoring the winning goal for Everton in the FA Cup final.

Hello there! My name is Nicholas McDermid Benzie but most people call me Nick. I was born and raised in Hong Kong but my family is originally from Scotland. I have a bachelor's degree in sociology and criminology, and a master's degree in applied criminology. I am the EA for Year 4. Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing football, listening to music and playing guitar.

CAS Coordinator

I came to Hong Kong from Sydney, Australia, via Saigon. I spent eight years at Waverley College in Sydney, teaching Mathematics, overseeing the Gifted and Talented programme and coaching a variety of sports. I then moved to Saigon, where I taught at International School Ho Chi Minh City for two years. I have enjoyed my first year living in Hong Kong and working at RCHK. I look forward to the challenging role of CAS Coordinator, as well as continuing to teach Mathematics and Physical Education. In my spare time, I enjoy playing netball and touch rugby, as well as heading to the beach.

PYP Teacher

My name is Holly Bradburn. I was born in New Zealand and this is my first international teaching post. I joined Renaissance in 2008, and am looking forward to another fun-filled year working with the wonderful staff and children at RCHK. My interests include travelling and trying new food, meeting new people and reading.

English Teacher
BA, GradDipEd, MEd

I was born and bred in the tuna fishing town of Port Lincoln, South Australia. To make up for spending my first eighteen years in one place, I've been on the move for the past 25 years. After graduating from the University of Adelaide in 1988, I spent time in Shanghai, Nanjing and Taichung furthering my Mandarin studies. I started my teaching career in Australia and have taught internationally for more than a decade, living in Brunei Darussalam, the United Kingdom, Germany and China.

English Teacher
B.Ed, Dip Teach, M.Ed (Leadership)

I have joined the RCHK team along with my husband Troy and our two children. My home town is Bundaberg in Queensland, Australia. I have experience working with students from primary school age through to adulthood in a variety of educational settings. I love to travel and have worked in Australia, the UK and Canada. Before joining RCHK, I worked in Bundaberg as a secondary school teacher and lectured at Central Queensland University. I love working and living in different cultures, and look forward to lots of new experiences while living in Hong Kong.

MYP Teacher, EOTC Coordinator

I’m originally from Bundaberg in Queensland, Australia. I recently moved to Hong Kong with my wife, Anne and two children. Before we settled in Hong Kong, I taught at a Catholic high school in Australia, and am looking forward to being a part of a great team here at RCHK. I enjoy playing and watching a variety of sports (rugby is high on the agenda), exploring the great outdoors, and travel.
